<div>Happy Heart Happy Home is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 2018. Our work is focused on end of life care for discarded and abused draft horses. We offer hospice, dignity, and respect to horses who have worked the majority of their lives in the fields, pulling heavy plows and being discarded when their bodies could no longer do the work required of them.

<div>For the last year, the nonprofits sanctuary space and home base has been spread out on 2 different properties in order to continue rescuing and growing. We lease land, board at horse facilities, and have completely reorganized our home to make the most space for each of our rescued residents to live and thrive. The logistics have not been ideal but we have made it work in order to seek out our dream space that can have all the residents moved to one location. Last summer our home farm was hit by a tornado, which has also been an uphill battle trying to rebuild temporary structures and figure out what our next move is.

<div>We are beyond excited to share that we have found that property, just under 45 acres where we can continue to offer care to our existing residents and provide sanctuary for future rescues. I would be able to see all the kids right from my bedroom window. To me it seems like a dream. Something that is possibly too good to be true.

<div>Once we safely have everyone at the new property, we will be able to reopen to the public and our community. Our educational programs offer an opportunity for guests of all ages to gently meet our residents, learn about animal agriculture and regenerative farming and its lasting effects on our health and planet. We offer opportunities to show how we all can make small more compassionate changes in our daily lives for the greater good.

<div>In order to safely move our current permanent residents, we will need to fence the property and get run ins/ build barns to house everyone. We have just 3 weeks to raise the necessary funding, as weve been moving as fast as we can due to the announcement that our current leased property is being prepared for development.
</div>

<div>After contacting several different companies and receiving multiple bids, we are working towards a pretty big goal. The costs for run ins/small barns and fencing is going to be at the low end of $75,000, with our team doing as much of the work as possible to cut costs. It's a BIG goal, but I know we can do it for the animals.
</div>

<div>The horses will each have their own shelter, safe and protected from the elements. It will also allow us to continue to take the best care of all the horses and donkeys, with their individual needs both medically and any supplemental care. Our sheep, goats, cows, and pigs will also have their new barn space to continue to thrive and live their best lives.
