The Forbes Flyers Need a Home

The Forbes Flyers Jump Rope Team has been a non profit youth sports team in Torrington, CT for the past 27.5 years. Our team has been under the Torrington School District for that entire time and inclusively for Forbes School students. Our team is based on teamwork and communication. Through our teams motives of respect and responsibility our jumpers are known for becoming great society members after they stay within our program. Throughout the past 27.5 years our jumpers have attended countless trips to South Africa, Sweden, England, and all around the United States. That could not have been done without the practice and dedication our jumpers show every single day. As of this June our our head coach and executive board has decided to open the team up to the entire town of Torrington and all surrounding towns. We are so excited to be able to give this option to every student in Litchfield and Hartford counties. However, we do not have a place to practice. Our jumpers need a home. Our goal is to one day be able to buy our own facility so our jumpers have a place to call home however, for now we are looking to raise money to be able to rent out a facility. Local buildings and local schools are over 1,000 dollars a month and some are even up to 5,000 dollars a month. Right now we just cannot afford that. Most of our kids come from backgrounds that just do not have that much money and for us to ask our parents to pay more then just a uniform and equipment is just irresponsible on our part. We need your help and by we I mean all our jumpers need your help!
