The struggle is real!

This is extremely difficult for me; to tell my story and ask for help. I have always been very independent and there for others. I have gone through so many emotions over the past couple months and one of them is embarrassment. I'm embarrassed that I have become so vulnerable, helpless, and financially devasted... all because of cancer. In October of 2017 I had healthy physical with no concerns.  In April of 2018 I wasn't feeling myself; extremely tired/exhausted and feeling overwhelmed so I took some time off work. In June I had noticed a hard lump in my left breast and saw my doctor. By this time I am back to work and needed to take alot of time off for all the tests (2 mammograms, 2 ultrasounds, 2 MRI, 2 biopsy, juravinski hospital counsels, surgeon appts, etc.).  Aug 15th my family doctor called me at work and told me my results showed positive for cancer. At that point there were a few inconclusive tests, but on September 7th the surgeon confirmed that I have breast cancer. It was explained to me that it was too large to remove at this time and chemo is the suggested route to take. After the 16 weeks of treatment it is intended to schedule for surgery to remove the growth and from there have more treatment (type of treatment to be determined at that time). Since that information the tumor has grown 2cm and another lump of 5mm has been detected. Apparently the type of breast cancer I have is only found in less then 10% of breast cancers patients (Nodule). It is growing rapidly and treatment starts in time for thanksgiving; Something to be thankful for.  All of this has happened so quickly and yet some days I don't feel like things are going quick enough.  Due to the fact that I only have long term disability through my work benefits and I had already exhausted the sick EI benefits; I now have zero income. Having cancer has forced me out of my job and my home and now I cant even afford the medication required for treatment. The immune booster shots that are required after each treatment is almost $1300 alone! Along with the other anti nausea and anti inflammatory medications, and on top of that, all the parking costs at the hospital. I have recently moved in with my boyfriend who will help care for me on a daily basis, but he does work full time out of town and can't afford to take time off for my appointments etc. We have been incurring alot of unexpected expenses with the house now as well... dryer and fridge both broke and now the roof is leaking and needs to be repaired asap. It seems as though there is a black cloud following me and I am hoping that "gofundme" can help bring some sunshine and hope back into my life. Please, if you can be a rainbow in my life and make a donation, all contributions are greatly appreciated. Many, many thanks to everyone for all your support.
