The Fighting Frankster

This February our son Frankie was diagnosed with LCH (Langerhans cell histiocytosis). A normal dermatologist appointment for a "rash" turned into our worst nightmare. Our perfect 4 month old son has one of the rarest cancers in the world. As parents you try to protect your children from any illness. So I did what any parent would do, damage control! I found two of the best doctors in the country for our son. Within a week we were in Philadelphia and then, off to Texas to get as much information and help for our little boy! Our son is now 11 months old and has the best medical team behind him. With positive thoughts and prays we will keep fighting for more answers and research. Overnight we became "those parents" that had to come to terms with our sons diagnosis and fight for endless research and hopefully a CURE!
With that being said, we are in the process of starting a foundation in Frankie’s name, so we can have 100% of the proceeds go directly to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Children’s Hospital of Texas. There, doctors can do endless research to find a cure.
We need to continue raising awareness in order to help the histio warriors.
