THE FIGHT FOR NOTTINGHAM

Donation protected

I will keep this as short and sweet as possible as the logistics can be had by any truly curious!

2 summers ago, Tammy and Jimmy had pretty stress-free lives. They worked, came home, and relaxed by their pond and as some of you know at times would toss a few back with a bunch of good friends (80% of our staff)

A racer gave me the lead about the pond and I had to check it out. Once I showed up it was love at first sight! Fast forward a bit! After tossing the idea back and forth a bit I felt she still wasn’t sure, so I stuck Tammy on my sled and took her for a few laps! From then on she opened her home up to us has catered to us! Tammy and Jimmy worked their butts off to provide the best venue they could for us! Last years 3 races were new for the town as well as Tammy and Jimmy the town didn’t know really what to do so permitted our three races while they kind of figured things out…. Fast Forward to the last race of the year! Not only did I surpass anybody’s expectations, but Tammy and Jimmy hands down put more effort into making our season the best it could be in any way they could. Relationships were made some lifelong friendships and one hell of a season at one hell of a venue!

After the last race Tammy and Jimmy were told, they would need to go through the town Planning Board, Select Board, and Zoning Board They have kicked clawed and screamed on top of their very busy lives to fight to keep us there! Its like a never-ending circle that they keep getting sent in! They’ve hired surveyor’s, engineers, attorneys, and so much more! Never in a million years would they have spent north of $20,000 (they have all the receipts) but they keep getting backed into “you’ve gone this far don’t throw it away now” at the end of the day they don’t expect this in return from our races and they definitely don’t expect it in a go fund me. They truly love the watercross family and how passionate you racers are. They love the good times and the smiles painted everywhere!

I am asking only because demanding would come off a little rude that every single person that stepped foot on that property donate something to help recoup some of the costs this battle is costing their family. I know you all have gone broke building sleds so have I but I don’t care! Even if its 50 cents or $5000 every dime counts, and I mean that I won’t be the slightest bit offended if I see a 1$ donation but they have put fourth an end all amount of effort and and the end of the day if things go bad are left $20,000 less their savings please I ask each and every single one of you if we ever want to go there to race or worst case just practice return the favor! I thank you! #SaveNottingham
