<div>Hello dear friends.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Matteo Apollo Richmond Bator and I've had a
</div>
<div>really tough start to my life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But I am a little fighter!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All my parents' joy of a newborn was lost in a tangle of
</div>
<div>emergency interventions and life support systems. No
</div>
<div>touching, no bonding, no visitors allowed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I don't want to be a burden on anyone. I will do my very
</div>
<div>best to make my own way in the world. I just don't know
</div>
<div>how much I will be able to achieve without a lot of special
</div>
<div>needs support. Perhaps you can help?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>***
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My mummy, Nina Richmond Goring and I were both rushed
</div>
<div>into emergency the moment I was born on May 31st 2023.
</div>
<div>I couldn't breath, was reanimated several times and with my
</div>
<div>heart rate dropping was taken by twelve medics to the Zurich
</div>
<div>University Hospital neo natal and then the Children's Hospital
</div>
<div>ICU where I was the sickest child on the ward with endless
</div>
<div>tubes sticking in all parts of my tiny body.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Mummy had surgery to save her life. My father Florian, and
</div>
<div>grandparents, Trevor Goring and Chris Richmond were
</div>
<div>terrified about losing us both.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I have been on Morphine and a cocktail of eight other
</div>
<div>medications since day one, had two bone surgeries for Choanal Atresia under general anaesthetic and had feeding and oxygen tubes to keep me alive.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>I am scheduled for an unknown number of
</div>
<div>surgeries in the future depending on how things evolve and
</div>
<div>must be monitored on a regular basis once I am allowed to go
</div>
<div>home.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The excellent doctors here say there are a lot of unknowns
</div>
<div>but that one thing is for sure, I will need a lot of help, many
</div>
<div>therapeutic treatments and a great deal of special needs care throughout my life.
</div>
<div>Some really compassionate colleagues of my grandfather
</div>
<div>Trevor have suggested setting up this GoFundMe page and
</div>
<div>my parents at this point would appreciate all the help they can
</div>
<div>get. Mummy is slowly recovering, puts a brave face on it all,
</div>
<div>( as ballet dancers do) and is helping me as much as she can.
</div>
<div>My daddy plays music to me on his guitar and sings me
</div>
<div>lullabies.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please help us if you can.
</div>
<div>We will keep you posted about my development.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My tiny heart is full of thanks to everyone who has helped me
</div>
<div>and my parents.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With all the love of a new born child.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Matteo.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
