The FbCadCam Project

Donation protected
This project needs funding to continue. It existed for one year, Sept. 2018 - Sept. 2019. It was funded by me up till the day I exhausted my savings. Apx 30k USD (1.5 million peso) was used.  These funds were spent over the course of 1 year to pay for: office and workshop rent, office furniture, utilities, hi speed internet, an air conditioner, 10 laptops, 1 desk top, a wide screen tv , a cnc machine and various electronics. And for each intern (apx 20 interns), one daily meal, travel expenses and 10 usd compensation for their attendance.

We have closed till further notice quite frankly because I need to save up for a couple years in order to contiune.

End of Sept. 2019, they moved out of the office and into the workshop with the hope they might keep the project alive in some way. With their own resources they were not able to afford even the rent much less utilities. So today on thanksgiving, I'm telling them they need to completely shut down and sell any and everything they can...

As of today, 11/28/2019 (Thanksgiving) I am (they are) selling the Maslow CNC for $300 USD (15,000 peso) in order to raise funds to pay past due rent for the workshop. The work shop was actually rented from the family of one of the interns. I will see to it that this family receives the 300 from the sale of the maslow, however the 300 is acquired. (i posted the maslow for sale on the malsow facebook)

The cnc machine is functioning and can be demonstrated to it's perspective buyer. After it's sale it and the other assets available in the work shop will be cleared out and finally the work shop closed. This price for the Maslow Cnc machine includes the Maslow itself and the frame. The first $300 USD donated to this project's fund raiser could go towards a nice idea. My idea is that the Maslow would be given to one of the local universities in or near Bulacan Philippines. If you would like to donate funds today for this idea then please make sure you make note of this idea at the time of your donation and or in the comment section below and i will see to it that the maslow be given to the university that has room for it.

Who am I and what's going on now?

I'm Owen Reese. I was in the navy on a submarine called the USS Chicago (SSN-721) back in 1985-1991. My job on the boat was a radioman. So I am also known by my fellow ship mates as RM2(SS) Reese (aka OP)

Recently I was contacted by some of my fellow shipmates who I served with. They found me on Facebook, asking if I could attend a great reunion in Chicago July, 2020. My response was yes, of course I will come.  I said to them I'm an over the road truck driver and I can manage to be anywhere any time no problem.... can't wait to see you all. Wow, that's going to be a great time for sure. Lord willing of course.

Shortly after learning about my fellow ship mates reunion, while driving down the road, I came up with the idea to make a website for out boat. So I began to build it, listing the names of the sailors I served with back in the 80's. Then I came up with the idea that I should list all those who served on the boat from day one to the present. Constructing this web site has become rather involved since then. So I decided to hire some of the staff members and college students from the FbCadCam project to help.

If you make a donation through this gofundme account you should know that those donations will be going towards compensating the kids in the Philippines (from the fbcadcam project) who are helping construct my submarine's web site. I hope to pay those who are helping me with the website at least 100 usd per week. Ps. I have been paying each of them apx 50 per week for the last 3 weeks. Their is enough work to do on the submarines websites to keep 3 of them busy for the next year.  I can and will pay this 150 per week to these kids for their help. ... Sure would be awesome if people would donate and help out..  Now,  Any excess funds  beyond the costs of my submarines website development will be used to reopen our office and continue our efforts with the initial Cad/Cam project. However I will not start this project up again in the Philippines until a reasonable amount of funds are secured and available. I say this because IMHO it should be well funded

Not only funds are needed to continue the initial Cad/Cam project but HARDWARE as well.
We need laptop's, 220v servos, step motors and arduinos.

I hope to expand the FbCadCam project to MULTIPLE 3rd world countries throughout the world. If I am able, I will continue to use the Maslow CNC as part of the curriculum.

I hope you guys will share this gofundme on your facebook. Help me draw attention to it. Share it on your facebook and call it something like The 721 million dollar fund raiser or any other clever things you can think up. Ps, I chose the number 721 because I was on the USS Chicago (SSN-721)
