The Farm Way SAW MILL for Lumber

This is it! Spring is here and allows for a clearer vision of the projects on our list at The Farm Way. Nearly all of them require one major component. Lumber! Lumber lumber lumber.
Fences, horse shelters, piggy huts and pens, barns and sheds to store hay, shelters for some of the new hay equipment and tractors and the list goes on.
We are especially excited to build cabins and guest spaces so we can share The Farm Way and all it has to offer with families and kids and groups large and small.
LUMBER.
We have a HUGE resource of trees here. In fact, we had a forester come and visit and the first thing he said is that we have an OVER abundance of trees. The forest would do well to be thinned out a bit.
We need something to cut some of our trees into lumber- a portable saw mill. There are many on the market and we’ve done our research and asked many questions. We’ve selected one that is made for exactly what we want to do- a Norwood LM29.
We are raising $6000 for a LumberMate29 Saw Mill from Norwood and we will Mill all of our own lumber for all of our building needs.
Lumber is expensive. To put it into perspective- one new Horse Shelter 12 feet by 20 feet costs $4000. We need three of them.
If you’re willing and able The Farm Way would be thrilled to have your support. You’re all invited to spend time in one of the future cabins or guest spaces. And, of course, mill some lumber with us and take it home for your own project!
