HELP US RESTORE LIVES

The Farm in Galong is the result of an informal outreach to women in Canberra who seemed to be falling through the cracks. Many were suffering from substance abuse, domestic violence and poverty. Among them were women whose life conditions meant that they could no longer look after their children. A group of concerned people put their heads together to see if they could in some way alleviate the suffering of these women and give them new hope.

The group was offered the use of a beautiful rural property in country NSW in need of repair and began the process of restoring it. They subsequently formed a company and have now opened the building for use as a therapeutic community to help these women. The restoration of the building and grounds continues.

The Farm sees this restoration work as an image for the restoration of hope for women and children.

One section of the building is ready for use, providing accommodation for twelve people - but we need your help to continue the work.  Already many more people are asking to come and we do not want to turn them away.

Please consider partnering us in this much needed work of restoring lives. We are still far short of our goal but we have managed to get the building livable for a small number of people. With your help many more women and children will be extended the hand of hope and lives will be restored.
