For the family of Richard Okonczak

Hello, my name is Kara, and I'm making this fundraiser to help myself, my mother, and my brother after the untimely death of my father. My dad, Rich, was the only source of income for our household, and my mother is disabled from MS and unable to work, so our financial situation is no longer stable, and the funeral costs alone are going to be tough to cover. Richard Okonczak passed on the morning of August 2nd, 2022 at the age of 48, and was a great father to his children, Kara and Joshua, a fantastic son to his parents, Pat and Chet, as well as a wonderful husband to his wife, Beth. When he wasn't out providing for his family and their four cats at his job as a senior hardware engineer, he spent his time introducing his kids to the rockbands of his childhood through old Youtube clips of Metallica and Iron Maiden, rooting for the Bills and the Sabres, and watching the newest Star Wars series as soon as it came out. He liked games like Red Dead Redemption and Civilization, and often watched documentaries about aliens, or whatever had piqued his interest on the History channel that week. He cooked dinner almost every night, and did all of the grocery shopping with a methodological system of skill. His Halloween displays in the front lawn were his pride and joy. He was funny, geeky, caring, and he worked hard to support the ones he loved. He will be sorely missed by all of the family and friends that surrounded him.
