The Evelyn Kashuk Scholarship Fund

We lost our dear Evelyn "Mimi" Kashuk on March 7th at 95.5 years old.  Mimi was like no other.  She posessed a unique kind of energy, wisdom, grace, magic that others simply wanted to be near.  All her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-GREAT-grandchild would insist that they were her "favorite".  And we all were!  In Mim's eyes we were all perfect.  And in ours, so was she.  Our matriarch, our Queen.  She will be incredibly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Mimi was a woman of the theatre.  In her younger years she graced NY stages as an actress and then ultimately  became "biggest fan" of her numerous children, grands and greats who followed in her footsteps - developing a love for the arts.

In her honor, we invite you to contribute to The Evelyn Kashuk "We Belong to the Stars" Scholarship Fund.  This scholarship has been created to send a young aspiring actor/actress to the acclaimed Stagedoor Manor who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford it.  Stagedoor, a renowned performing arts training center in Upstate NY, was one of Mim's favorite places. She spent countless summers as a proud audience member, cheering on several of her theatrical grandchildren who attended the camp.  

It is our hope that this will be one of many ways we ensure that Mimi's story goes on.
