The Ernau Family Benefit Fund
Robby (Bobby) Ernau, age 47 a renowned storyteller and enthusiast of life was recently and quite unexpectedly diagnosed with stage IV melanoma.
Robby is a proud native of 204th street, resident of Riverdale and Parishioner of St. Margaret of Cortona parish for the last 15 years. Robby is a devoted father and dedicated husband to his loving wife Carolyn of 20 years. Robby is a Transit employee and proud member of Local 100 of 18 years. He is a lover of history and a graduate of Northern Arizona University.
Anyone who has ever met Robby would attest to his fun loving nature and hilarious sense of humor. Times are genuinely more fun when he is around.
Robby’s strength and competitive spirit will help him in this fight, you can help as well.

Update as of August 27th
Thank you to all the supporters of the Ernau Family Benefit Fund. Yesterday the family attended Robby’s graduation from the TWU/MTA apprenticeship program. It was a bittersweet moment for the Ernau family, as yesterday was also Robby’s last day of work. Due to his diagnose and treatment plan, Robby is scheduled to retire in the coming days. Please continue to keep the Ernau family in your thoughts and prayers.
Update as of October 23rd
Robby has completed four rounds of treatment, two rounds of radiation, and few injections.
Unfortunately, the cancer is continuing to
spread to other locations. Robby is continuing to fight, he and his wife Carolyn are looking into
trials and reaching out to other cancer focused
hospitals for recommendations.
The Ernau family is incredibly thankful for the
generosity of the community and all their family and friends.
A Benefit for Bobby will be held on Nov. 16th
