Launching the Entrepreneur Parachute

I am building my entrepreneurial dream. In the Fall of 2018, I decided to take a leap of faith and start bidding for federal contracts full-time with no prior background. I did this because for these reasons:
-I have always worked as a contractor and despite a BS Computer Science and MBA degree, clients constantly complain about how expensive you are, and therefore work is not steady, and neither is income.
-the US government is the largest buyer in the world.
-I need something recession-proof as layoffs in IT are very common.
-I want to go after large projects using bleeding edge technologies
-I am sick of feeling like a drone, a plantation worker, and watching people less qualified than me climb the corporate ladder

I run the business all on my own and it's scary. Fear of failure and some of the mistakes I have made make me want to throw in the towel. I haven't held back with taking risks. 

My background is in software and data integration. However, those opportunities are few and far between. So I have bid on fiber optic projects, wiring an Air force base in Nevada for Internet Service, Virtual Reality (RFI in this case), Data Center migration (million dollar contract that I lost due to lack of experience), you name it. How did I do all this? Through strategic partnerships. None of this was taught to me and I didn't have any guidance. And I've made a lot of mistakes along the way. I learned from each one because all this happened in a very short time

I have even become a reseller (something I never did before) and have won two federal contracts. I took a loss on both just to get something going. Seeing an award next to my company's name was rewarding. But it's time to start making profits. And I need help to sustain myself for a bit longer.  It's not easy asking for help. I was raised to be proud but it's also foolish to not ask for help when there is help out there and it's still not too late.

These are the reasons I need funds to support the business:

1) Living expenses while I keep hustling on Plan A without falling back on Plan B.
2) Hiring Staff - Right now, I am CEO, CFO, CTO, Payroll, HR, Contract Administrator, A/R, A/P, Business Development Manager, Sales. I submitted 4 proposals in the last 24 days.
3) I would look for paid work but I am on an E2 visa. Working full-time on W2 is a violation of my visa. I can only do 1099 and only in IT but most positions I am qualified for need full-time resources. This has been frustrating. 
4) I don't have medical insurance and this is really scary. I don't have the energy to argue with Medi-Cal about my eligibility.
5) On my visa, I need to create jobs for US Citizens and this is exactly what I work on everyday. Once I can start hiring, I need to set up payroll and a health plan. 

I promise to pay this forward. When I am successful, I will mentor struggling entrepreneurs, especially the young generation. I will win and I will win BIG. It's because I believe in the ultimate dream - THE AMERICAN DREAM.
