As part of The Energy Industries Council's 75th birthday, we are doing various charity events to celebrate our milestone anniversary.
In aid of Cancer Research UK and The Ocean Cleanup, the EIC has set a target to raise £20,000
Both these charities are very close to the hearts of everyone at The EIC. Using GoFundMe means that once all donations have been received, we are able to split all proceeds 50/50 between the two charities- something we were unable to do with any other online fundraising site.
EIC employees have been busy raising money by taking on a number of challenges for these two fantastic organisations.
The biggest and most ambitious challenge has been a 600-mile cycle challenge involving seven of the EIC's fittest and craziest employees who cycled from the EIC's Aberdeen office to the London office via Teesside in just 6 days! These 'super-seven' raised over £7,000 with a further sponsorship contribution from SQS of over £3,000.
