The Ebbsfleet Academy PPE Fundraiser

The Ebbsfleet Academy has launched a fundraising campaign, asking for financial help to support the school's production of PPE, which is being delivered to frontline key workers daily.
The school is asking for financial help to ensure they can continue to produce PPE visors, scrubs, scrub wash bags, facemasks and headbands.
The working group is hoping to raise £2,000. This will buy materials, equipment and resources to meet the daily requests of support from the community for PPE.
Since all schools were partially closed, teachers from the academy formed a small working group responding to the urgent demand for PPE for frontline staff and began manufacturing visors in the academy’s design and technology workshop.
To date over 500PPE visors have been manufactured and delivered. Responding to the needs of the community the working party recently extended their production and began stitching scrubs, scrub wash bags, face masks and headbands.
Everybody knows someone who is currently working on the frontline, continuing to provide above-and-beyond care no matter what within our community. It is fantastic to think that a small gesture on our part can make a difference to people’s lives.
