The Dyna x Street Voices Fundraiser Part 1

As the cost of living increases in Toronto, government officials continue to cut funding for programs and spaces that support our marginalized youth. On any given night, there are thousands of youth that are homeless, and this number is expected to increase as housing prices continue to skyrocket.

85% of homeless youth are experiencing a mental health crisis. Many go without any support outside of prescribed medication. Programs that support the mental health development of marginalized young people are disappearing due to budget cuts across the non-profit sector. This campaign aims to support the programs, charities, and youth-centered initiatives that assist youth in healing, personal and professional development, and creative expression. 


WHAT MISSIONS WE'RE FUNDING...

1. SKETCH Working Arts, is a charity that assists in the personal, professional, and creative development of homeless and street-involved youth. This initiative has had a direct impact on Dynesti (The Dyna founder) and Joel Zola (Street Voices founder) when first establishing themselves as creative professionals by providing them both with employment in the arts, business management training, and much more. Located in Toronto's core, SKETCH is currently facing non-sustainable rent increases. Your donation will help them reach their target of $1,000,000 to purchase their current space at 180 Shaw St.

2. Yonge Street Mission provides free food, counselling, dentistry, and other resources to homeless and street-involved youth in Toronto's downtown core. 

3. More content creation. We will use part of this funding to make more powerful videos like this, and to market this content to more people.

60% to SKETCH Working Arts
20% to Yonge Street Mission
15% to creating more creative content that brings awareness to issues surround homelessness,
at-risk youth, and mental health
5% Fees and management expenses (Go Fund Me fees,  accountant, marketing, etc.)
