The Duke family

Thanksgiving night 2015, my sisters husband Caleb Duke tried taking his own life. His pregnant wife Jen found him in their kitchen in a pool of blood. Caleb was life flighted to Albany Medical center. There doctors work on Caleb for countless hours trying to save his life. Caleb suffered a stroke and was left paralzed on his left side. He has lost all cognitive skills from the tramtic brain Injury and blood loss. He  is now mentally incompetent. He has been at Walter Reed National Military hospital for three years. Where he was diagnosed with PTSD and paranoia. After, 19 years of service the military is now processing him out without his pension or benefits for his family. He will receive disability but until that happens the family is left without any income for several months. They have three children, 1,3 and 6. My sister jen is the sole caretaker now for them. Who I might add is a ROCKSTAR. She has been standing strong and providing a stable environment for her family. Caleb is a Senior Chief Nuclear Mechanic in the United States Navy. He was ready to be Master Chief. He served in Afghanistan and was awarded the bronze star for his heroism. Any donation will help this family. I also hope this will help people realize that are veterans are left behind and forgotten. They are the true hero's that make the selfless act of protecting us.  " These men and women who serve their country and as a result, live constantly with a war inside them, exist in a world of choas. The turmoil they experience isn't who they are, the PTSD invaded their minds and bodies." ( Robert koger). Please don't leave this family and our veterans behind!
