Let's get this family's power turned on in time for Thanksgiving and the cold weather! Jeremiah was in a fatal car wreck back in May. He was in the back seat of a car that crashed into a guard rail at over 100 mph. He suffered 3rd-degree burns on over 50% of his body, but he survived. His best friend in the front passenger seat was not so lucky. The guardrail penetrated the vehicle and took his life. The driver also survived but is possibly facing criminal charges.

Jeremiah has a great spirit and has not given up on life. He has plans to be an advocate against drinking and driving. He hopes sharing his life-changing experience with fellow teenagers can help prevent anyone from ever having to go through the tragic event he went through.

His family lives on assistance and a fixed income. His father is disabled, and because he had to be treated in Sacramento, California, for his injuries, his father had to travel back and forth from Reno, Nevada, and every little expense just kept adding up. They got behind on the electric bill, like way behind...

$1,980 is required to get the Gas and Electric (they are combined in this area) bill up to date, and I would love to make that happen just in time for Thanksgiving. This one is just a bit out of reach for me, so I will need the help of #teamjustus!

The $2,500 goal is to provide a Thanksgiving dinner and pay the enormous NV Energy bill in full.

While it is doubtful, the money will go to help other people in need if any unanticipated events occur during the fundraiser.
