Publishing a speedway dream

So.. my Dad is OBSESSED with cars and speedway! If he's not sliding through corners from within the driver's seat, he's tinkering with the engine or making adjustments. Or, talking about it. So many stories over the years about his exploits on and off the track, and finally he's put them all down on paper.
The Dream
Dad has always wanted to publish his stories, and now that he has collected some of his written works - together with various photos and drawings - he's ready to go to print. I've created this fundraising campaign to help Dad achieve his dream to publish, since printing costs can be quite prohibitive.

The Drive to Drive Sideways
What's in the book? We don't want to give too much away, but since his first race at the age of 10, the need for speed led Dad on many interesting adventures. The book chronicles the various exploits of a car-loving family, many stories of which occurred in and around the small country town of Corowa, NSW, with some extending as far away as the very early days of the short-lived Liverpool Speedway. So if you're a Corowa or surrounds local you might discover some memories here!
From the Rugby "Red Seal" motor to hotted up Holden greys, and from the tales of likeable characters to flatout legends, this book will take you on an historical journey of many highs and lows on - and on the way to - the dirt track, with a bit of asphalt here and there.
At 75 years old, Dad has a varied and wonderful history to share, with his passion for racing carrying over to me, and so I also started racing speedway at a young age (and continue to). Let his passion take you on a journey and pre-order your book now!
