The Dog and Duck ‘Help Locals in Lockdown Fund'

The Dog & Duck in Winchmore Hill is not just a pub. Frequented by people from all walks of life – some who wear suits, but most who don’t – it is a community of its own, where nobody is ever a stranger and everybody is welcomed.

The pub has a history of helping deserving causes in the community it is a part of, and there has never been a more pressing time to help those who are struggling than the current crisis.

With the support and guidance of our local churches, St Monica’s and St John’s, as well as that of our local doctors and healthcare professionals, we have set up the Dog and Duck ‘Help Locals in Lockdown Fund’, whose aim is quite simply to help local families who have been worst hit by the financial and emotional pressures of the pandemic.

We are asking regulars, friends and families, familiar with the pub to donate to help us reach a £5,000 target to help those who need it most.

We have set the ball rolling with a £2,000 donation from the pub’s Football Pundit game, generously agreed to by over 80 regulars who participate.

Now we need your help to bring those deserving local families a little lockdown luck.
