The Detroit I Love was created as a platform to promote the music and arts community in Detroit. It has always been a labor of love - love for the amazing scene we have in our city. In the current situation we are going to use our voice and platform to help. In this time of uncertainty in our community for the financial well being of Detroit DJs and musicians, with venues closing and gigs being cancelled, some assistance is needed immediately to help them survive until this passes.
100% of all funds collected will go directly to the artist. Initially we will pay out $100 per artist on a first come basis. If there are any additional funds available after the initial payouts they will be split equally.
PLEASE DO NOT APPLY if you are not in need. This is a very serious situation for many and we want the funds to go to those who truly need it.
