We are raising money to help to fund the creation and running of a new initiative - The Design Community Hub (DCH).
We are creating a free & inclusive portal to support designers and graduates who've been impacted by the pandemic & need support to get it up and running. Time is of the essence. We have already moved the project forward but we now need your help to take it to the next level and open it up to the community.
Your donations are needed to help us support young designers and those who need help from their peers and the wider industry.
BACKGROUND & PURPOSE
COVID-19 has caused a career crisis for creatives. The Design Community Hub is a cross-industry initiative, created to support talent across the design world. Founded by a collection of senior industry professionals, who wanted to do something to help those who needed it.
From the graduates who worked so hard and are struggling to know how to move forward, to the seasoned designers who've lost jobs in this pandemic and are looking for new opportunities and advice.
THE PLAN FOR YOUR DONATIONS
We're reaching out to our incredible industry to ask for help. We need help to support the talent that drives our industry, and to do this,we need money. Your donation will enable us to create AND sustain an initiative that unites the design community and supports the people who need it most.
With YOUR donation, we can develop the hub and keep access free and open to everyone who needs it. Funding everything over the next few years – from running and adapting the platform, to creating events, offering support and bringing ideas from the community to life. We have already created a website but want to now get practical and invest time and money to create an online community that can be self sustaining in the long run and fully supported by the community.
Your support will help people whose careers should be thriving, not on hold. This pandemic has opened our eyes to the fact that the industry needs something like this. Not just to help those who have been impacted by this crisis, but one that is there for good.
We want to create a lasting legacy. One that we can all be involved in.
All of our supporters will be recognised for their support in the initiative which is backed by a comprehensive PR campaign to ensure we can deliver on our promise. We thank you for being part of the Design Community Hub.
