The DEN - Bridlington to Blackpool 150 mile walk!

On the 4th - 10th of August I will be walking from Bridlington to The Empowerment base and the home of The Den in Blackpool.  I will be doing about 150 miles and will complete it in 7 days.  Many children and young people feel isolated and alone when experiencing domestic abuse.   I wanted to do this walk mainly on my own with only few people dropping in for support along they way.  Every child should feel heard and supported and I want to take on this challenge to help make this happen.  

The Den offers specialist emotional and practical support to children and young people affected by domestic abuse in Blackpool.  

The Den is really underfunded.  I want to show my support for this amazing charity so that they can continue with this much needed service  and reach as many children and young people as they can. 

In the last ten years The Den has supported over a 1,000 children and young people.  I would love to see this service support 1000's more!!
