*This Go Fund Me was created to solicit support for a loving family who deserve peace and compassion after a tragic loss. All contributions will be properly distributed to Mr. Davis' wife Hellen and their children.
Gone too soon but never forgotten..
Having battled kidney disease for 20 plus years, two failed kidneys over time and the many complications that go with renal failure, Gerard "Anthony" Lamont Davis lost his long, hard and exhaustive battle when he departed this life on September 4, 2018, after receiving a scheduled dialysis treatment. For those who do not know, dialysis is brutal to the body. You spend hours a week connected to a machine that is designed to filter your blood and to remove waste from your system. Waiting for a kidney transplant was also arduous and spiritually taxing for him along with lengthy hours spent in dialysis, months spent in and out of the hospital (racking up expenses), as well as confronting the reality that his days could soon come to an end. Though this was the case, Anthony tried to remain positive and continued to press onward. Even when he had very little strength in his weakened body, he pressed onward hoping and praying for better days ahead, continued blessings from above, and as much time as possible with those he loved. His wife and children meant the world to him. It was a daily challenge dealing with the challenges of renal failure but what hurt most was knowing that there was a great possibility that he wouldn't see his children grow to adulthood. As difficult as this was to accept, he refused to allow depression to rule his life. Instead he rarely complained because to him it served little purpose. He didn't waiver in his commitment to help out where he could because his children and family needed him.
That being said, NOW HIS LOVED ONES NEED YOUR HELP! Anthony had preexisting conditions, which made life insurance impossible to afford and maintain coverage. He leaves behind 3 young boys and a wife who will bear the burden of burial expenses with no policy to offset the cost. The burial expense are needed before 09/10/2018. We pray that your heart will be compelled to make a contribution to a family who will be forever grateful.
Anything raised beyond the expenses for the funeral will be placed in an education/assistance account for the Davis children. We will keep this Go Fund Me open till 10/06/2018 to facilitate this goal.
Help make the dream come true! More than anything Anthony also affectionately known as "Gerardy" wanted the best education for his boys.
