This year Pieta House has been forced to cancel their darkness into light event.Without the funds raised by this event, all of Pieta’s services are now facing an immediate and devastating financial crisis.
More than 80% of their funds come from the public, and they need you to help them today to keep the amazing lifesaving services available to those who need them most, especially during these darkest days.
The idea behind the darkness into light event stems from an old saying "The darkest hour is just before dawn". Pieta adopted this into a fundraiser in 2009 to show that the difficult time you, or someone you may know is going through will not last forever.
For the month of May, I will be running a darkness into light every single day, during that darkest hour right before sunrise. My hope is that over the course of the 31 runs I will be able to show at least one person that there is an end to the darkness.
