March 13, 2018 is a day Annie and her family will never forget. It marks the night a horrific electrical fire broke out at their home in the East Mountain section of Scranton, resulting in significant damage, the loss of the majority of their belongings and displacing them from their home. Thankfully everyone (and Tubbs, their pup) are OK!
801 E. Moltke Ave. symbolized great happiness and achievement for Annie. A recent homeowner, she worked countless hours as a nurse at St. Joseph’s Center to save up enough money to make this house her home. She was born and raised a block away and is surrounded by life-long friends – the same neighbors that flocked to her side to help when the fire department was called last night.
A single mother, Annie has spent the last fifteen years raising an amazing daughter and putting everyone she knows before herself. Today, we ask that you help us put Annie first to help her and her family get back on their feet. If you know Annie, you know that she's one of the most caring people in the world and would do anything for anyone, which is evident in the field of work she chose and absolutely loves - helping children with special needs.
