<div><strong>The Curtains Up! Project</strong> (Charity Number 1207561) was setup in 2024 to support the running of our main summer event <strong>Curtains Up!</strong> as well as other similar events throughout the rest of the year.
</div>
<div>The charity is entirely run by volunteers. Part of the fees for the main summer event go towards the central costs of running the charity (e.g. insurance / DBS checks)

<div><strong>What we do:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Curtains Up!</strong> is a Christian creative arts residential holiday for 12-17 year olds (<em>high school age in Wales and England</em>).
</div>
<div>We aim to provide a safe space to welcome young people as they are, spend time enjoying the creative arts and learn more about what it means to follow Jesus.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The <strong>Curtains Up! Weekend</strong> is a creative arts residential weekend for folks 18+. Starting in 2026 this weekend is initially designed for past and present Crew (and Cast who are now 18+) who want to spend a joyful, inclusive, creative weekend together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The <strong>Curtains Up! Day </strong> is a chance for folks to spend time being creative in a Christian context, alongside members of the Curtains Up! community. It is a chance for folks to have fun, learn new skills and explore how they could use creative arts in their own groups and communities.
</div>
<div>Starting in 2026 this event will run alongside the <strong>Curtains Up! Weekend</strong>

<div><strong>How you can help:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We try to make all of our events as accessible as possible. For the main summer residential this includes helping the <strong>Cast</strong> (<em>young people</em>) and <strong>Crew</strong> (<em>volunteer team</em>) who are unable to pay the full fees for the event. <em>We do ask that the </em><strong><em>Crew</em></strong><em> pay the same amount as the </em><strong><em>Cast </em></strong><em>to help keep the event accesiable.</em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you would like to help out someone who can't afford the full cost to attend this summer then we would really appreciate <strong>anything</strong> you can give here!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The money given here <em>(apart from any bank fees / gofundme fees) </em>will go directly to cover a member of the <strong>Cast</strong> or <strong>Crew</strong> who are unable to pay for their place at a Curtains Up! event.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If we raise more than we need for the current year we will hold these gifts to support Cast and Crew in future years.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In some rare occurrences we may need to use some of this money to support the ongoing costs of the charity (such as insurance costs) or to cover central costs for the holiday (such as training a first aider) If you would prefer we didn't do this please contact us.
