OART Entertainment is seeking pre-production funds for the feature film "The Cricketers". Ever since I was a child growing up in Guyana, it has been my dream to make a film that revolves around the World Cup of cricket.

There are 3.5 billion fans around the world who share my passion for this exciting and suspenseful sport and revel in the lives of the players with whom they feel strongly connected.

 The Film:

 
Our story centers around the charismatic and complicated captain Carl Duncan and his 3 team mates, Rupert, Lenny and Booker. We get caught up in their internal and external struggles both on and off the field as they strive to take their team from a long, sad history of defeat to becoming world cup cricket champions. Carl carries the hopes and dreams of his proud nation on his shoulders. When his personal life threatens to sabotage his lifelong dream, will he be able to lead his team to victory?

 

Our goal with this film is to spark excitement for the sport of Cricket and offer the global audience of cricket aficionados the first ever feature film about their beloved sport.

 

Presently we are seeking $100,000 to assist with pre-production funds.  We have a completed script, and have attached a high profile Producer and Director, and are now ready to move this project forward.
