The Cozy Collection 2019

Donation protected
Hi.  My name is Maya Aguilar and I'm an 10 year old from Covina, California in the San Gabriel Valley.

I attend Condit Elementary in the wonderful city of Claremont.

One fall day, when I was 6 years old, I noticed a homeless person on the street and wanted to help.  I thought about giving him my recycling money but my Mom encouraged me to think about doing something bigger, so I started The Cozy Collection .

The Cozy Collection  gathers new socks and gently used blankets for the homeless.  We donate the items to organizations like The Mercy House  in Ontario, Ca.

This is the flyer I designed:

During the first year, we collected 1900 pairs of socks and 70 blankets.

During the second year, we collected 3,632 pairs of socks and 97 blankets.

During the third year, you helped us gather over 8,300 pairs of socks and nearly 100 blankets.

Last year, we worked together to collect 14,000 pairs of socks.

Last year, The Disney Channel came to our house and produced a story about The Cozy Collection and it was so exciting.

The excitement has me wondering if we could reach a goal of 15k pair of socks this year.

What do you think?

We found a company that sells socks in bulk.  $210 gets 600 pairs of socks. This means we need to raise $3500.

Here's how you can help:

1) Make a cash donation of any amount.

2) Become a Cozy Collection Ambassador at your school and/or work and collect donations in your community

3) Spread the word by sharing this post.

4) Follow The Cozy Collection Facebook  page .

Thank you for helping!
