The Cory Adams Memorial Scholarship Fund
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Michael Babcock. Cory Adams ("Gomer") was my classmate and one of my best friends. We met at Blue Mountain and remained great friends right up until his recent passing. Everybody who knew Gomer loved him. I honestly can't think of anyone who didn't. He was a super nice guy to everybody; he spoke his mind, but he was also great about it, making sure to leave everybody either laughing or feeling good. With his unexpected passing earlier this year, we wanted to set up an annual scholarship fund to commemorate his legacy as a great husband, father, and overall wonderful citizen who brightened up any room he walked into. He is definitely missed, but at least annually, the love and support that he gave to others can now be given back to a graduating BMHS alum with your generosity in this gift. Our initial goal is $1000, with the idea that a $100 award is distributed each year for at least 10 years (with the criteria being set by his widow, Terri).
Please give what you can. If 50 of us gave just $20, we'd have this goal met in no time. To know the man was to know kindness, laughter, and how to be a good human being. Throw a $20 at this man's scholarship fund as a "thank you, Gomer" for all the sunshine he may have brought into your life too. Remember, this gift helps future Blue Mountain High School grads.
Thanks,
--Babs
