Every week in the UK, 12 apparently fit and healthy young people aged 35 and under die from undiagnosed cardiac conditions. We owe it to our players to ensure we are prepared for a cardiac emergency.
What we want to see:
- An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) at every football club under the FA umbrella
- Mandatory AED training for all club coaches
- Regulated financial support for the procurement of AEDs
The Coaching Manual head office will be running the Manchester Half Marathon on October 10, raising funds to buy AEDs for as many grassroots clubs as possible.
We will determine the beneficiary clubs using a set of criteria that ensures we are helping those most in need, details of which will follow, but in the meantime you can donate here.
