Hello All,
As many of you may know since 2016, around Christmas time, I have been collecting funds for children in the Phillipines. We send this money to a long-term family friend that helps others. My son has known this family for over 16 years. I adore them, they are kind, compassionate, and generous. For many years, they have provided food, treats, and assistance to those in need in Cebu, Philippines. With the fundraising I have done, she has also been able to feed several of the homeless in Manila, where she lives and works, make donations to people in a local hospital, and gave out over 100 treat bags in Cebu to children, nursing mothers, and the elderly.
In 2019, Andrea Gayle-Bennett and I were there to experience this event firsthand. At that time, while visiting the hospital, we met Samantha Tinsay. She is an American Filipina who was finishing up her medical internship at that hospital. She has since become a doctor and also works to serve those most in need in Cebu. We now help both parties
I learned last year that we lost some money in international transfer fees, so I am asking for a bit more help. This year, again, I'm reaching out to my friends. A little goes a long way; donations of all sizes are appreciated. With your help, I am looking forward to another fantastic year of helping others.
Thank You All,
Beverly
I will be collecting funds via Venmo. Thank You

From Dr. Samantha Tinsay
I’m the Municipal Health Officer of Bantayan, one of three municipalities on Bantayan Island, Cebu, PH. Bantayan is the largest municipality in terms of land area and population. The current population is 89,439 and I serve all of them. We have 25 barangays (in the Philippines a small territorial and administrative district forming the most local level of government), 5 of which are islet barangays located in far flung areas. Most of the people on the island are fisherfolk or farmers, meaning most are living below the poverty line and are considered indigent. As a local government unit, the Mayor Art Despi and I are creating progressive change in the healthcare of this municipality. We offer free medical & dental checkups and free take home medications. We also offer free labs to the indigent population. Families would love to receive rice, toothbrushes, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, hair brushes, towels, plates, utensils, cups, the basic necessities. Thank You,

Money will be sent to Dr Tinsay via Wyze to be used in her rural clinic to help the children in her local Philippine area. These are the poorest of the poor and every US dollar helps
