Help Support An Indoor Skatepark In Akron, Ohio
The Carver Society is a non-profit organization located in Akron, Ohio that is dedicated to establishing a quality and safe indoor skatepark facility for our community skateboarding enthusiasts to be able to practice and participate in the art and sport of skateboarding, on a year-round basis.
Why Akron?
Being located just south of the snow belt here in Akron, Ohio, our days of skateboarding outdoors are numbered, quite literally. Due to the Midwest climate here, we get many days that are not just cloudy, but often cold, rainy, snowy, or just too dark outside, during which times kids and even many adults cannot skateboard outside.

Why now?
With global interest and participation in skateboarding at it's all-time highest level in history, there is no better time than now to raise awareness to our local situation and start a social campaign to help improve our local skate scene by establishing a quality and safe indoor skatepark facility - and the sooner the better. And Northeast Ohio is a large metropolitan region with a huge following of skateboarders!
Long story short, our community is in great need of a quality and safe indoor skatepark facility that would allow our skateboarding enthusiasts to practice and participate in the art and sport of skateboarding on a year-round basis. This would not only benefit the skateboarding community and local economy, but would also help grow interest in skateboarding as a whole.
During this initial fundraising attempt, we are trying to raise the first $50,000.00 USD goal to get The Carver Society off the ground and on our way to opening an indoor skatepark facility in Akron, Ohio.
Raising initial funds from the community shows interest and support, and once this goal is achieved we can move forward with applying for grants and other funding opportunities to support this cause, through completion.
