The Carlos Aguirre Jr Fund

Donation protected
A little over 23 years ago my Husband Carlos Aguirre Jr. became ill and soon after was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver.  He was elegible for a Liver transplant and waited 6 years.

During this time while waiting he grew more ill and it was necessary for Carlos to quit work and filed for disability.

Meanwhile we fell behind in our house note, utilities, and car note. We also still had 2 children in school.

I took to working 3 jobs for a while to try and make enough but it didn't compare to what Carlos had made when working.

We had paid off our house at one point but with taxes, cost of living ,bills, utilities, house repairs, and Carlos's medical bills. We could never get ahead. So with great regret we hesitantly took out an equity loan.

We had to keep getting extensions to save and keep our house. The disability wasn't enough and I was working but most of my pay went for health insurance benefits.

Carlos got his transplant and became ill due to his diabetes with Dymenylimating Polyneuropathy and Congestive heart failure . This disease has caused a lot of stress on Carlos's body. Because of this he has become terminally ill due to his Congestive heart failure, kidney failure and circulation blockage. Everyday he is now battling with fluid build up in his lungs.

We just got Carlos home after a month at St. Joseph's hospital. The doctors diagnosed that no more could be done for him and recommend he be sent home with Hospice to help. My priority is to help let my Husband of 46 years be comfortable and at peace to pass in his own home that he took such pride in.

I have tried to keep up with the loan but now it Matures on August 1st 2018. This is also Carlos's 66th birthday!

I will have to have 11,500 due at this time. If not instead of giving Carlos peace.  I will have to see about relocating us. I also had taken out a hard to find life insurance but it was too late and if he passes before  January 14, 2019 it will not pay the policy value. This man deserves better. He has always been a  hard worker, law abiding person, good husband, and a loving and caring father and a helping friend.

I along with my loved ones have faith and prayers that we will receive the help we need. With the understanding, love and charity of family,  friends and strangers.

If you can see it in your hearts to help Carlos and I at this time with any donations we will forever be indebted with deepest gratitude and prayers to you.

The donations will go to help pay off the house loan and the rest reserved for funeral expenses.

With blessings and love
Carlos & Gilma Aguirre Jr & family
