This page was made for my daughter, Lindsey. She was recently diagnosed with a pineal brain tumor, a tumor that is found in only 3% of all people with brain tumors, located directly in the center of the brain above the spinal cord. This all started about 3-4 months ago when she started to get headaches on a daily basis. They began as small, manageable head pains, and progressed gradually to migraines that made it hard for her to function. She chalked it up to work and daily life stresses, and didn't think much of it until the morning she woke up and could barely move or speak due to the amount of pain she was in. After a trip to the emergency room, and a CT scan, Lindsey was admitted to the hospital, as they had unexpectedly found a growth in her brain. After the admittance and an emergency shunt placement to drain the excessive spinal fluid built up from a blocked ventricule caused by the tumor, Lindsey thought she had her life mostly back to normal, unfortunately, due to the shunt recovery and having to have another surgery to remove the tumor, and the recovery time for it, Lindsey has been unable to work as she normally would, and help with providing for her family. Her husband Kolton, is doing what he can in keeping things paid for for his wife, and their two young children Keagan and Kristopher, however the cut back to one income has really started to become an issue. Lindsey is expected to be able to return to work 4-6 weeks after the removal surgery is completed on July 13th. We are asking for any kind of help or assistance you are able to give, and truly appreciate any thoughts and prayers you could send her and her family's way. Thank you for reading, and thank you for your help.
