The Brown Bag Project Fundraising 2023

The Brown Bag Project is an organization of high school students that creates and delivers care packages containing food and other essentials to the homeless in Central Texas.

In September 2020, we were inspired by the situation around us, especially with the ongoing pandemic, to do something for the homeless situation. We immediately created a GoFundMe page and exceeded our goal, raising just over $1,100 within a week. We then spent Columbus Day weekend delivering over 140 packages to the homeless of the Austin area.

In March 2021, the Brown Bag Project was established as a club at Round Rock High School. In 2022, with our new team, we raised $1489.36 and created over 300 care packages. This new milestone motivated us to aim even higher and impact more lives in our community!

What makes the Brown Bag Project different from other organizations is that we provide a hands-on experience and opportunity to witness the situations of those who are less fortunate.

With the money that is donated, we will use it to purchase food, toiletries, and more for the homeless.
