The Brad McCool Jr Family

Donation protected
As many of you know, Brad was in a motorcycle accident in 2012. He was on his way home from work and a young driver pulled out in front of him, sending him over her car. As a result, he broke his back in three different places and his ankle was turned backwards, due to major dislocation and fracture. We feel very fortunate that he is with us today. However, he has dealt with ankle pain for the last 5 years. Due to the foot and ankle being turned with such force, he severed one of the main arteries that feeds the ankle joint with blood. The doctors cauterized the artery in emergency surgery the night of the wreck. He has since went through failed attempts of fusions because the blood supply is not there. He started going to a specialist in St Louis, Missouri and he was able to get one joint to fuse. Brad has what is called Avasclar Necrosis also known as AVN, in the ankle joint, which is "death" of the bone. He has worked to support his family since the accident but being on his foot, has now caused his ankle to collapse. It has been decided that the next step is an amputation because that is the only option that is a for sure thing to allow him to live pain free and not have any more surgeries. Brad will be off 12 weeks from work and will have no income coming in during this time. He will have to pay for his family insurance while he is off, as well as trips to St Louis, doctors apt, physical therapy, A prosthetic and everything else that will come along during his recovery. please help us come together and show this family how much love and support they have. We can not wait to see Him out in the yard playing with his three kids, nieces and nephews without living in pain. If your unable to donate, please keep their family in your thoughts and prayers . ❤️
