The Border Refugee Assistance Fund
The Border Refugee Assistance Fund was launched in 2019 by Bishop Mark Seitz and the Hope Border Institute to meet the unprecedented humanitarian needs of vulnerable migrants at the US-Mexico border.
Now, as a cruel campaign of mass deportations separates families in our own neighborhoods and closes the door to the vulnerable seeking asylum, a local response is urgently needed. Through direct emergency aid, accompaniment to affected individuals, and support to humanitarian leaders on the front lines, we stand in solidarity with families impacted by deportations and the denial of asylum, providing emergency support and accompaniment to those left behind. These are our neighbors: families in Ciudad Juárez looking to seek protection, left stranded due to the closure of the border and families in El Paso torn apart by the realities of the mass deportation campaign.
Help us make solidarity tangible by contributing to the Border Refugee Assistance Fund, which provides direct assistance to immigrant neighbors in need at the El Paso-Ciudad Juárez borderlands.
The Border Refugee Assistance Fund is a joint initiative of the Bishop of El Paso and the Hope Border Institute.
