TBEN Fundraiser
Hi! My name is Felicia and I’m the founder of The Black Economists
Network (TBEN)- a platform which seeks to connect and support Black Economists.
It’s been 7 months since the official launch of TBEN, and in that time, the network has grown exponentially. We now have over 250 official members from across the globe, over 400 people signed up to the mailing list and over 2,400 followers on Twitter! We’ve also worked on a range of programmes, events and workshops to support our members and inform our audiences.
We’ve done all this using free websites and software. However, as the network continues to grow, we need better tools and infrastructure to sustain our reach and impact. This is where we need your help.
We are relying on you to help us raise £1000 to go towards 12 months' worth of software, digital services and web presence expenses. This would cover:
Our website & domain, a paid network Zoom account so we can host webinars and meetings without the 40min cap, a G-suite account to help manage mailboxes, and an upgraded mail chimp account. Any extra funds will help us keep these services running for longer than 12 months!

ABOUT TBEN
At TBEN our goals are to provide a platform through which professionals and students of African and Caribbean descent in economics can connect, collaborate, share ideas and support each other. We also seek to improve diversity by challenging the lack of it in the field.
Our aims are to:
CONNECT: By building a community for professionals in the field to network and collaborate and establish life-long networks
EDUCATE: By equipping current and aspiring professionals knowledge on career options and the skills needed for career progression
INSPIRE: By encouraging debate on topical economic issues and alternative economic perspectives as well as promoting an environment where members can learn from each other
INFLUENCE: By changing the status quo and working with economics organisations to challenge and tackle the lack of diversity in economics
