We are asking you to support The Peden Family during their time of need by taking a few minutes to give to this campaign! Our goal is to raise $20,000 to get M.E., Bill, Jack, Ezra, and Reuben back on their feet after the devastating flooding this weekend in Nashville.
On Saturday March 27, 2021 Nashville experienced the 4th wettest day in recorded history with more than 5.75 inches of rain falling in a single day. In The Peden’s neighborhood along Sevenmile Creek, rainfall exceeded levels experienced during the legendary 2010 flood. This effectively turned their entire street in Crieve Hall into a free flowing river, causing significant damage to their home, woodworking shop, backyard, and both vehicles.
In total, they have lost both vehicles, about ⅓ of their home and belongings, and essentially all of their wood working tools which comprise their joint venture, Mother’s Woodshop.
Their various insurance policies will cover one of their vehicles and the structural damage to their home - but due to a gap in Flood and Homeowners Insurance - none of the woodshop tools are covered (approximately $10,000 worth). These tools are essential to providing supplementary income to the family.
Their Honda Element had been downgraded to minimum coverage due to age/miles so they won't be getting help on this vehicle from insurance. The car was almost entirely submerged and is essential for toting their amazing kids around and getting to and from work. The Pedens do a lot of driving!
By giving to this campaign, you will be helping Bill & M.E. build back up their hard earned investment in their carpentry business and help them replace their vehicle.
