Save The Ballroom of Reno

The Ballroom of Reno is a non-profit dance school that has always provided a safe and friendly place for our community to come together through dance.  We do this in a number of ways, such as offering FREE group classes every Monday – Friday, our innovative Dance With Me program which helps those living with Dementia and Alzheimer’s, and our youth program.

 

In order to help keep our much-loved community safe during this outbreak of Covid-19, we have closed our doors for the time being.  At the same time, we would like to be assured that once this health threat subsides, we will all continue to have a place to call home.  As such, we are asking for any donation, no matter how big or small, to help us pay our expenses until we can reopen our doors.  The bare minimum needed to pay rent and utilities is $5,475 per month, so with the Governor’s mandate to stay closed from March 16, 2020 through at least April 30, 2020, that would be $10,950 for two month.

 

We know we are behind in asking for help but we had hoped we wouldn’t need it and that classes would be able to start again soon.  Unfortunately, the longer this goes on, the clearer it becomes that our beloved studio cannot reopen without your help.  Please know that your donations will not be used to pay instructors – it will only go to our rent, insurance, and utilities.  Every dollar counts and we appreciate you more than words can say.  We look forward to dancing with you again soon!
