The Atlas Foundation- reaching kids through rugby
Donation protected
At the end of October this year, I will be joining a group of supremely fit humans* climbing mountains in Africa to raise much-needed funds for The Atlas Foundation. We will be attempting to climb over 4000 metres up Mount Satima, the third highest mountain in Kenya.
Many of you might be shocked to hear that I've (perhaps foolishly) signed myself up to climb a mountain, but it's all in the name of a great cause. As you might have heard, I like rugby. Sport is an incredible vehicle for positive change for all in society, and The Atlas Foundation use this vehicle to help fund education and health projects in the poorest areas of the world. Read more about this great cause below.
As many of you are aware, I've been passionate about Africa for many years. With trips to the slum of Kibera witnessing first-hand how much help these people need. So I've set myself the goal of $10,000 for this incredible cause. I need you all to dig deep.
Reach out with any questions and warm thanks in advance for your generous support! Neil.
The Atlas Foundation exists to help deprived children work towards a better future through rugby communities. It is a launchpad for good and provides a platform that partners with local organisations that have a tangible impact on the daily lives of deprived young people.
Through health, education, and gender inclusion programmes and a large number of rugby initiatives, The Atlas Foundation provides safety, education, food, sport, guidance and community to thousands of children across five continents.
Founded & led by Rugby World Cup Champion Jason Leonard OBE, The Atlas Foundation’s work is led by the core rugby values of Integrity, Hard Work and Respect, and the Atlas Foundation is committed to getting practical help directly to those who need it. So far over £1 million has been raised, and over 50,000 children have been supported.
