The Art of Community

Tax deductible
Your contribution will directly support this creative project of artist Darrell Anderson in partnership with CherryArts and Saunders. This project is about bringing the City together with works of art created by young minds and community neighbors. Utilizing the trees removed from City Park Golf Course in a creative application to have a positive everlasting effect.

Renowned artist Darrell Anderson will work with 10-15 local schools to create art from the City Park trees. Each school will receive 30-50 pieces of wood for up to 20 participants.

Each student will be asked to create a piece of art with the wood they have received that represents “The Art of Community.” The program will culminate with a jury of the work created, prizes for the top artwork and the grand prize winner will have their piece displayed in the new clubhouse for the grand opening of the City Park Golf Course.
