The Anna Gdanian Library @ Anistemi
Donation protected
There are so many of us here in Namibia that have been touched deeply by Anna, especially including the kids of Children of Promise Ministries. Many of those kids that have known Anna for years now are attending Anistemi College and Training Centre - a sister ministry which was born out of a desire to see the children be responsible and financially self-sufficient as adults.
We at Anistemi wish to honor Anna's legacy with the children and to keep her name on the forefront of our hearts and minds for as long as we can. We are in the process of developing a library and resource center at Anistemi to better support and educate the learners as they near the doorway to their adult lives. We have decided to name it "The Anna Gdanian Library @ Anistemi." We hope to have the expansion of the library and collection of resources completed within 6 months.
The name "Anistemi" comes from an ancient Greek word that means to "rise up" or "resurrected". It is identical in meaning to the name of the school in Arandis where Anna served many times - Talitha Kumi, which is Aramaic. We believe firmly that God brings life where there is none, and hope where it's lost. He gives reasons to walk forward, even to the most weary. In Him, there is no end. We are grateful for the role that Anna has played here, and there will be no end to her impact. She will continue to serve as a role model, and a good representative of Jesus and His greatness. We all look forward to when we see her again.
