Support the Anganwadi Ambition Project (AAP)
The Anganwadi Ambition Project (AAP) will provide children (2-5 year olds) from lower-income families in a village called Dorakottala (Kurnool District, AP- a rural village in India) with a reliable daycare service. Most of the families in this village live below the poverty line. Currently, the village daycare service is both unsafe and inconvenient. The old hut with broken walls along with the snakes/dogs around the premises all make for very dangerous conditions for such young children to stay in. This program’s goal is to build a safe and clean place for these kids to spend the day while their parents are at work. The program will work to renovate a school building and surrounding fencing. In addition, the child care center will be able to function for more hours with the funds used to improve the staff system. Longer hours and a safer environment mean older children can go to school for a full day instead of staying at home to care for their younger siblings.
