On October 23rd, our community lost a shining star. To say the least, Amanda Schlieben was a brilliant and talented 16 year old whose future truly showed great promise academically and in the performing arts. Always giving her all in theatre in particular, she was cast in many fun and dramatic roles throughout her short time with us.
As the community reflects on the beautiful life she lived and the countless lives she touched, we would like to honor Amanda and her family by establishing The Amanda Schlieben Memorial Scholarship Foundation at Glenbard West High School in Glen Ellyn, IL. The growth of this foundation in the coming years will award an annual 4-year scholarship to graduating theatre students, like Amanda, who dream of pursuing their goals and gifting their talents to a world beyond high school.
