The Alyssa Gumm Fund

My  "Sister From Another Mister" and lifelong friend, Tamra (Shepard) Gumm, her husband David Gumm and their children  and grandson are in desperate need of heavy duty prayers and a Christmas Miracle.  Tamra and Dave's daughter Alyssa Gumm, has fallen victim to a devastating medical mystery and is currently in the ICU. Details are not available at this time.  Testing is being done to try to figure out what's going on but, sadly, things look rather bleak, at this time. Tamra and Dave will provide updates as things unfold. As many of you know, Tamra and Dave drive a semi across the country. Sadly, they were made aware of Alyssa's condition while on a road trip from New Mexico. As you can imagine, the minutes seem like hours, until they are home and can be with Alyssa. They are very proud and would NEVER ask for more than prayers, from anyone. As her friend, I find it necessary to ask, on their behalf, in addition to prayers, for financial assistance. The outcome isn't looking very good and they are trying to prepare themselves, emotionally. They need to focus on getting home safely, their daughter, grandson and family. They do not need to be worrying about the expenses to follow. They will have many expenses, as this was not expected, nor desired.  Please know that this isn't merely a minor injury or attempt to gain monetary assistance for frivolous spending.  As mentioned, Tamra and Dave are proud people who never hesitate to GIVE assistance but are the last to ASK for assistance. Please share whatever you are able to spare. If you cannot donate, financially, I know that Tamra, Dave, Whitney, David and Jenna will appreciate your prayers for Alyssa and her young son, Mason. Prayers for Alyssa, prayers for the medical professionals treating Alyssa, prayers for Tamra and Dave... may they travel safely to be with Alyssa during this emotional, tragic, uncertain time.
