ALFIE ADVENTURE - STEM CELLS & INTENSIVE THERAPY

Our little Alfie girl suffered a brain injury at birth which caused her to have cerebral palsy. Her other diagnoses are microcephaly, global development delay and hearing loss which requires her to wear (super cute) hearing aids. Despite her determination, Alfie’s cerebral palsy restricts her from simple movements which we all take for granted (Ie. sitting, standing, walking) At the moment, she is involved in daily at-home therapies, regular and ongoing therapist and specialist appointments. We have no idea what the future holds for Alfie and her abilities, but we want to do everything we can to give her the best head start possible. So, next year, we want to take Alfie overseas for Stem Cell Therapy. Unfortunately this is not available in Australia so we are traveling to Mexico for this treatment, which is an additional cost to the already expensive procedure. We were also lucky enough to secure a spot for a 3 week Intensive Therapy Program at the NAPA centre. This therapy is a huge commitment (physically, emotionally and financially) - 3 hours a day / 5 days a week / 3 weeks. As parents, we will do anything for our children and we just know that this is the right path for her. With the Stem Cell Treatment, followed by Intense Therapy, we feel like Alfie will only benefit from it, and we can’t wait to see her progress! We are on a mission to make this happen for her, and we are extremely grateful and appreciative for any help we can get along the way.
