Just over 12 Months ago we created a children’s book about a superhero that has type 1 diabetes, a story created by our 8 year old son who has the condition. With the help from GoFundMe we have been able to bring our story to life and seen our books make such a positive impact on children all over the world.
We want to continue to produce our books so that we can keep donating and raising awareness of type 1 diabetes but need some help in the form of financial support. We have so many more ideas from activity books to Costumes, to a dream to one day see our book in schools and even on the big screen. Our book is currently in Max’s school which has given him a platform to be able to openly talk about his condition through his book in a real positive way and it’s what we would like to see other children to be able to do also!
The Adventures Of Captain Lantus is a character and a story that we wanted to give back to the diabetes community’s around the world! A true superhero that has type 1 diabetes but never allows it to get in his way, just like all T1D children all over the world…
