Arab Youth Congress in Jordan

We are raising funds to attend the 37th International Arab Youth Congress which will be held under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Noor Al Hussein in Amman, Jordan from 10 – 16 July 2018, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and UNICEF.
The congress is a thematic event that gathers 4 youth representing each country , age 14 – 16, from different countries around the world for a week of learning and cultural interaction.
The program is designed to tackle global issues that impact the quality of life of youth through conducting creative workshops in drama, music, songs, Dance, poetry and visual arts.
The theme of this year’s congress is “Youth Participation in Gender Equality for Sustainable Development”.
The participants will examine the challenges and obstacles that hinder gender equality and youth participation in their respective countries and proposed solutions. They will also share related success stories and policies.
Topics related to the theme include:
Ø Stereotype and Misconceptions about Gender Roles in Society
Ø Equal Opportunities in Education and Work
Ø Gender Based Violence
Ø Social Cohesion and Social Justice
The National Center for Culture & Arts (NCCA) will cover full board accommodation and local transportation for the participants. However, international travel expenses must be covered by the participants.
We are fundraising to cover the cost of the tickets and to provide uniforms for the USA team!
